Cutimed® DebriClean

is a mechanical debridement pad which consists of two sorts of looped fibers: soft monofilament fibers for gentle abrasion that protect intact tissue and more abrasive fibers to break up and remove even firm slough. Cutimed DebriClean is easy and safe to use.

Intended Purpose

Cutimed DebriClean aids in the debridement of superficial wounds and surrounding skin, for example: diabetic ulcers, venous and arterial ulcers, pressure ulcers, postoperative wounds and wounds healing by secondary intention, and superficial burns.

Wear time: Cutimed DebriClean is used for debridement and does not remain on the wound. Results can be seen after 2 – 5 minutes of debridement.

Effective debridement

Thanks to its combination of gentle looped monofilament and abrasive fibers, the pad lifts up firm and superficial slough. Also debris and biofilm are removed quickly and easily.1, 2, 3 Due to an integrated foam layer and looped fibers exudate is absorbed and safely locked.

The hand loop provides an easy, comfortable and accurate use, while the hard blister pack can be used for easy moistening with wound rinsing solution.

How to use

1. Moisten Cutimed DebriClean in its packaging with wound-cleansing solution (according to the national guidelines). All current wound-cleansing solutions are suitable. Ensure the pad is fully saturated (recommended amount: approx. 30 ml.) (A)
If Cutimed DebriClean is insufficiently moistened, the patient may experience pain.
• Use the strap on the back to hold Cutimed DebriClean. (B)
• Use the wound contact side of the moistened Cutimed DebriClean
to clean the wound, using circular movements while applying gentle pressure. (C)
• Use the abrasive area on the wound contact side of Cutimed DebriClean
to help removing coatings such as mild necrosis.
• Cutimed DebriClean is intended to be used by healthcare professionals only.
