Cutimed® HydroControl

is a moisture-balancing hydrogel dressing that creates a moist wound healing environment and supports tissue formation. It consists of a semi-permeable PU film and an adhesive hydropolymer layer with pores. It absorbs moisture from the wound bed and stimulates the perfusion of fresh fluid into the wound (osmotic effect) which supports autolytic debridement. Cutimed HydroControl promotes wound stimulation.

  • Stimulates tissue formation
  • Autolytic debridement
  • Reduces pain during dressing changes

Intended Purpose

Cutimed HydroControl is indicated for dry to moderately exuding chronic and secondary healing wounds, such as leg ulcers (venous, arterial and mixed aetiology), pressure ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers as well as superficial burns.

Wear time: Cutimed HydroControl may remain in situ for up to 7 days, depending on the patient condition and level of exudate.

Product benefits

Symbol with three dynamic arrows to visualize that the product stimulates wound healing

Stimulates tissue formation

Boosts wound healing in chronic and stagnating wounds1.
Symbol of a wound dressing that binds bacteria to visualize its wound cleaning effect

Autolytic debridement

Stimulates the perfusion of fluid into the wound bed which supports autolytic debridement 2.
Symbol of an arrow pointing downwards to represent pain relief

Reduces pain during dressing changes

Offers a soothing effect after application. It reduces pain during dressing change. 2, 3 Atraumatic removal.2
Symbol of water circulation to visualize effective moisture balance

Effective moisture balance

The combination of flexipores, a polyurethane film and a hydropolymer gel matrix forms the technical foundation for effective moisture balance to support wound healing.
Symbol of two water droplets to visualize the exudate-handling capacity of the product

Reliable exudate management

High absorption and moisture vapour transmission rate (MVTR).
Reduced risk for maceration as fluid is absorbed vertically and retained within the dressing.
